I draw inspiration from simple functional handmade pottery from around the world, past and present. My pots are made to be used in daily life. I hope that in using them people are occasionally touched by the qualities of the ware and the humanity of their handmade creation. Unlike many forms of art functional pottery is blessed in that we can see it afresh with every use, sometimes, when we have a moment, it rewards us.
