Touching Life, Show and Tell

As a bodyworker for nearly 30 years, it has been my privilege to touch other people’s lives through the medium of massage.  It is alongside my ongoing clinical practice that I continue to explore different narratives through process art.

Touch attests to objective reality, in the sense of something outside, that is not myself.  And yet, by the very fact that it attests the not-me more than any other sense, touch involves my subjectivity more than any other sense.  When I feel this objective something ‘out there,’ beyond the bounds of my body, I also at the same time experience my own self.  I feel other and self simultaneously.  Walter Ong

Show and Tell, is open to view for one day, as the culmination of a week long process.  In which I will hold the space to explore the unseen and unspoken stories that are carried in the body through bodywork, photography and text.
