Proposals for a Public Artwork

Come propose a public sculpture to be situated in Roath, always wanted to see something interesting situated in your neighbourhood? Join us and draw it. No idea too abstract or large scale ignored.

The project will look at collaborative town planning and how we shape the space around us, encouraging the public to engage with their community and the place they live. The proposals could range from the history of the space to something completely irrelevant, they could range from the personal to the private and anything that the public associate with Roath.

Alongside this we start a new hashtag for social media platforms where you can describe your own imagined public sculpture with a photograph of where it would be placed. #publicartRoath

Amy and Rory’s collaborative practice uses tropes from popular culture to appropriate contemporary life and examine notions of fact and fiction in an internet dominated society.
