The day after Louise’s funeral I was captivated by the sight of a full rainbow, accompanied by the song ‘Lust for life’ on the radio. Alongside my grief, I felt gifted with a special message of hope, resilience, and love. Inspired by this, and Louise’s bountiful creative passion, Hearts of the Rainbow was born. Over 50 of Louise’s family and friends have crafted hearts, which will be displayed alongside a rainbow made up of her qualities and values, as visioned by those involved. This has enabled us to connect, reflect and remember Louise. Receiving all this love in the post in Leeds over the spring 2016 brought me great comfort.
