Monday 21st 7-8pm
A visual, sound and performance installation, inspired by live interventions between the clown, Clare Parry-Jones, and the sea, beach and neolithic burial chambers, documented by L.H.M.C. (visual artist) and Chris Young (sound artist), with additional photography by Clare. The live interventions are an exploration of saying goodbye to a loved one, and a dream – an exploration of loss and the cycle of grief. It is also an honouring of the natural cycle of life, both in human terms and within our natural environment. The portal of the neolithic burial chamber, where this collaboration began, faces West, in alignment with the setting sun; a dark chamber to focus on rituals of loss, celebration of life, and preparation for the future life, echoed by the diminished daylight, onset of night and subsequent dawn of a new day. AngelC is an invitation to take part in and/or observe this ritual and performance – to write a message to someone, or something, that has left your life, or that you wish to say goodbye to; a chance to reflect upon this, and let it go. The space created gives room for new life and opportunities.
