Christopher Hopkins is a fine artist and recent graduate of the University of South Wales. He primarily works with encaustic and oil paints using vivid colour. He is particularly interested in revealing the joy within the overlooked colour palate of the supermarket, drawing inspiration from the vibrant spectrum of packaging and displays.
Pop to the Shop! is a series of paintings which explore this theme. Christopher has worked with Roath-based architecture and design practice Studio Gennaio to create a site-specific, unique viewing experience for his work. The paintings are tactile – please touch!
