I am a local artist working from home. I love walks along coast lines, through woods or up mountains and these are the main inspiration for my work. I paint in oils and acrylics, in often bright colours that to me capture the moment or place. I started painting 6 years ago and I am self taught so I’m always learning and developing as I paint.

I realise we all have different ways in which we like to interpret the world around us…mine is always with brightness of colour and I am happiest with a paintbrush in my hand. I am self taught so I’m always learning and developing as I paint. I love walks along coast lines, through woods or up mountains. I paint in oils and acrylics, with colours that to me capture the moment or place.

I studied art at teacher training college and taught for a couple of years before getting married and having three children. I started painting 6 years ago when my youngest daughter started school full time. I really didn’t want to wait the next 30 years before I gave myself the time to paint.

View more of my work on my website jgoringedesigns.weebly.com or like my Facebook page ‘Janette Goringe Paintings‘ for more up to date work and interaction.
