Sun 9 – Sun 16 (see park opening times)

An open air exhibition visualising people’s memories of the parks as a celebration of the local area and community. Memories have been captured from the wider community and can be seen hanging from the trees in Waterloo Gardens, a number of which are due to be removed as part of the NRW Flood Defence Scheme.
The exhibition acts as a memory archive of the park as it is today and a celebration of our connection to it. This project is part of a Masters by Research examining the role of art in fostering well-being and regeneration within communities in the UK. The research supports the work of MIR and the role art based practice can have in helping to build stronger relationships and improving our connection to an area and its physical environment. Suitable for all ages. For further information, please contact: lovepenylan@gmail.com
